In the roles of Pink Lady in “Aku Yuu Monogatari” on August 1st in NTV

It was decided that Morning Musume’s Takahashi Ai(21) and Niigaki Risa(19) are going to play the roles of “Pink Lady” in the drama “Aku Yuu Monogatari” (The Aku Yuu story) which will be shown as a commemoration of the 55th anniversary of Nihon TV.
From Shouwa to Heisei. The top idol collaboration which crosssed the two eras will be revived again. Takahashi in the role of Mie-chan said “I’m deeply moved. If I imagine that she was moved to tears after passing the TV audition, I can relate to her in many ways.”, Niigaki in the role of Kei-chan said “I knew their songs from since I was small and often tried to copy them e.g. ‘UFO’. It’s a very interesting and new feeling for me.” and told us their deep emotions.
The filming has already ended. The two MM members sang their famous song “Pepper Keibu” wearing outfits reviving the fashion of that time and challenged themselves on the characteristic choreography of the song too. Producer Iwama Gen explained the reason he chose the two: “They were so cute when they were singing and dancing and I couldn’t think of any other group than Morning Musume when I was looking for idols known among kindergarteners to the generation of old ladies.”.
This drama will be broadcasted on the day of the 1st death anniversary of Aku Yuu-san who passed away last year. The two Morning Musume members representing the Heisei era will present a song to Aku-san in heaven which he must have missed dearly.

Shouwa’s super idol group will be revived after 30 years. In the Nihon TV drama “Aku Yuu Monogatari” (broadcast at 21 o’clock on August 1st) Morning Musume’s Takahashi Ai(21) and Niigaki Risa(19) will play the roles of Pink Lady who performed “Pepper Keibu” in the NTV audition “Birth of a star” dressed in extremely mini mini-skirts. Takahashi in the role of Mie said “Pink Lady’s from mom’s generation, but they had to pass an audition like we did. It’s an honor for me.”. Niigaki in the role of Kei (Masuda Keiko) told us “Mom was a big fan, so I’ve danced to their songs since I was little. This time we watched videos from that time and tried our very best to study them”.
